TANGO WAGNER HOUSE is an international social tango weekend held in the Small Guild, one of he most unique locations in Riga, Latvia, situated in the Old Town.
Why is it called Tango Wagner House? We began organizing this event to support the reconstruction of the Riga Richard Wagner Theater House (Wagner House). Three wonderful tango weekends have already taken place in this historical building. Now, as the Wagner House is closed for reconstruction, we will be located in another beautiful and historical venue in the Old Town - the Small Guild.
We look forward to the reopening of the Wagner House, when we will be able to dance tango there again.
This weekend, we will gather tango dancers from different countries who love to dance in close embrace and enjoy a good time together. This event features an equal number of follower and leader dancers, wonderful music from international DJs, and a sommunity thet respect the milonga codes both on and off the dance floor.

This means:
- Dancing only in close embrace
- Inviting partners by eye contact (mirada and cabecéo)
- Changing partners after each tanda
- Respecting the lines of dance while dancing in the ronda
- Entering the dance floor correctly
- Being sociable and friendly on and off the dance floor.
